Password Authentication Solution
The eToken One-Time Password Authentication Solution is now generally
available. This new Aladdin eToken NG-OTP hybrid token and the eToken
One-Time Password (OTP) user authentication offering means that
organizations can now implement cost effective and flexible strong user
authentication. It gives them the versatility to enable secure logon to
the corporate network without the need for any client software
installation or a USB connection.
The new eToken OTP offering is based on the eToken NG-OTP device,
Aladdin's innovative smartcard-based hybrid token that enables secure
access to organizational networks and applications in both connected mode
(with the USB connection) and detached mode (with the one-time password).
By connecting their eToken NG-OTP devices into the computer's USB port,
users can take advantage of the full suite of eToken smartcard-based
solutions, including secure network access, VPN and web access, password
management, PC protection, email security, digital signing of e-business
transactions, and more. When a USB connection is not available – for
example, in an Internet cafe or at the airport – users can still securely
connect with the eToken. With the push of a button, the eToken NG-OTP
displays a randomly generated one-time password that users can use to
securely access their network.
The eToken OTP solution includes the eToken RADIUS server for back-end OTP
authentication and integration with RADIUS-enabled applications, including
leading VPN solutions, web access solutions, and more. The OTP solution is
fully supported and managed by the Aladdin Token Management System (TMS),
a comprehensive, standards-based management tool for complete
enterprise-wide token deployment and life cycle management.
Aladdin Releases Token Management System (TMS) Version 1.1
Aladdin announced the general release of the Token Management System (TMS)
Version 1.1, the latest offering of eToken's robust management system,
enabling the deployment, provisioning and maintenance of all eToken user
authentication devices, including security tokens, smartcards and ID
badges.
Connecting users, authentication devices, organizational rules and
security applications remains one of the chief challenges for enterprise
security. Aladdin's TMS provides a solution that links all components into
a single automated and fully configurable system. It supports a
comprehensive range of security applications such as network logon, VPN,
Web access, one-time password (OTP) authentication, secure email, data
encryption, and many others. Fully integrated with Microsoft Active
Directory,
Aladdin TMS enables administrators to manage tokens in the same way they
manage users from within Active Directory, transparently linking token
management with user organizational policies.

Secure eToken-Based Provisioning Available for Cisco Integrated Services
Routers
Aladdin now offers customers and partners an eToken USB Key and Token
Management System which provides a new, highly secure way to provision
Cisco integrated services routers.
Aladdin eToken provides a fully automated, token-based router provisioning
system designed specifically to decrease deployment costs while increasing
security.
The provisioning system enables the loading of router configuration data,
such as boot-strap information, keys and other sensitive information,
directly into the eToken.
This new offering brings added security and convenience while reducing
internet service providers' and customers' implementation costs,
previously requiring manual handling and configuration of each router.
Additionally, once a router has been provisioned, the Aladdin eToken key
can be used for a variety of other security applications such as VPN
access, web access and PC logon, enabling organizations to experience
enhanced network security as an added, unlimited benefit.
